Flaming Fenyx is a family kennel, but above all, it’s a story that began with the arrival of a young borzoi in our lives, Ferdinand.

This singing borzoi touched our hearts like no other. Working in zootherapy, he sang with the residents whom they loved so much just by his presence. He left no one indifferent and, thanks to him, we discovered a truly extraordinary community of sighthound lovers.

Sadly, his life was short-lived; he died at the age of 20 months from kidney failure. We were devastated by his absence, but we were able, through a dedicated search, to find a “black wolf” in France.

We headed for the Côte d’Azur to fetch 16-month-old Onyx Noir. He would become the promise that anything is possible. Then Feia Lubvi Hawk, Ferdinand’s niece, joined our stud farm in the making. A succession of events followed: Onyx’s championship in autumn 2022, Feia’s championship in the process of being obtained, the marriage between our royal couple last spring and today we are proud of the superb crop of nine puppies they have given us!

Why the name Flaming Fenyx?

Fe for Ferdinand and Nyx for Onyx, Feia is the flame, the Phoenix of a love and passion that rises from its ashes and never dies.
